Thursday, Oct. 1, until the morning of Friday, Oct. 2 - The eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard will close for construction beginning at 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. The ramp will reopen at 6 a.m. the following morning. During the time this ramp is closed, all traffic from I-5 entering eastbound SR 520 will cross Lake Washington and pay the SR 520 Bridge Toll. Those who do not want to pay the toll or who need to access Montlake from I-5 must use alternate routes.
Friday, Oct. 2, until the morning of Monday, Oct. 5 - Eastbound SR 520 between I-5 and Montlake Boulevard in Seattle will close for construction beginning at 11 p.m. on Oct. 2 until 5 a.m. on Oct. 5. All traffic from I-5 wanting to access eastbound SR 520 must use alternate routes. Eastbound SR 520 remains open across Lake Washington. It is only the section of eastbound SR 520 between I-5 and Montlake that will close. The Montlake Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound SR 520 will remain open.
The express lanes are northbound-only 24 hours a day through the end of 2026 due to lane reductions for construction on the northbound I-5 Ship Canal Bridge.
